I rarely do lineart anymore, i don't enjoy it much but i do find it easier and quicker to draw it on paper and scan it in high res. It also gives a nice texture rather than the digital smoothness i'm trying to get away from.
The last time i drew something complete on paper was like 8 years ago... hurts my neck looking down while drawing.
Anyway, this is a gift to an old friend of mine It's of her character Aki. Color version to be uploaded later.
i got lost in that drawing, and i wish i had wings on my head too,

The character design of your friend is really neat. And the line by you are pretty awasome.
I like how you handle the position of the face, very smooth, almost hevenly (i don't know is that is an actuall word, but that is the close I can get ; P)
Maybe I'll apply some of my colors, it sure will be nice for a change work on something pro like. And portraits are my fav subjet to paint.
Btw, you don't have a drawing tablet? You know, those with 45º of angle to make the drawing process less paintful for the back and neck?
Also is very useful for large work areas, like poster (when you are working forced point of views and so). Dunno, I just enjoy so much doing traditional sketchs n' stuff that I could resist the tentation of have one of those for do profesional works and such.
Anyway, cheers mate, be well.
(and of course, the crappy english, sorry for that : P )

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
